What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy means the use of hypnosis for the treatment and relief of a variety of psychomatic and psychological symptoms.

During treatment the patient becomes physically relaxed and remains aware.

The old myths and misconceptions about hypnosis have given way to proven, scientifically sound applications.

How can Hypnotherapy help?

Today the use of hypnotherapy is seen in a variety of fields as it can be used to bring relief to existing conditions or to change areas where there are issues. The list of situations where it can aid the individual is endless and it is particularly effective for those who wish to take greater control—or perhaps regain control—of some aspect of their life.

Certain uses are well known such as for quitting smoking and for pain relief, but did you know that hypnotherapy can also be used to overcome a fear of public speaking, to improve performance on the playing field, to prevent blushing or to even help with relaxation for a natural, pain free child birth?

Relieve Stress with Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy can also help you cope with stress as this is also created in the mind by your own feelings, perceptions and reactions to circumstances that are real or imaginary.

Constant stress leaves the body run down and open to illness and depression.

Stress affects us all in different ways, people suffer anxiety, tension, high blood pressure, bruxism (grinding of teeth), irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, skin disorders, sleep disorders or obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours to name a few.

The stress management techniques taught within hypnosis teach deep relaxation which enable elimination of negative thoughts and beliefs and develop positive thinking self worth and assertiveness.
